Abdul Karim Telgi Life and Education
He was born on the 29th of July in the year 1961. His age at the time of his death was 56 years. Karim died in Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru on the 23rd of October 2017. He was suffering from meningitis and hypertension and reportedly died of multiple organs failure. Telgi was born in Belgaum, Karnataka in a middle-class family. His father was a Class IV employee in the Indian Railways. His father met his demise when Abdul was just a child. He financed his own studies by selling fruits and doing odd jobs.
Talking about his educational background, Telgi studied at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya English Medium High School. After finishing high school, Abdul did not give up on his studies even after bearing harsh financial conditions. He joined the Goget College of Commerce where he received his B.Com Degree. Later, he moved to Mumbai in search of better career opportunities and ended up being a sales executive.

Telgi started his professional life but working at Felix India Limited in Maharashtra but soon left the job. He worked as a manager at Kishan Guest House in Colaba after leaving the job. Even after getting a decent job, he was not content as his dreams were very big, and he decided to leave India to fulfill his dream. Telgi got a job in Saudi Arabia in 1986, though he lost the job due to a lack of concentration and interest and returned to Mumbai after a few years.
After returning to India, he started working as a Travel Agent and used to help laborers in reaching the Arabian countries for work. He started forging fake immigration documents and was jailed for 3 years due to this crime. Telgi met Ram Ratan Soni in the prison and later started working for him to sell sticking tickets and non-judicial stamp papers. Both of them started growing their business by indulging more and more in illegal activities and counterfeit. Telgi’s stamp paper scam was so big that it can be inferred from this that he hired more than 300 MBA professionals to account for his money. The total cost of the whole scam was estimated to be in the range of ₹3000 crores to ₹30000 crores.

Telgi was a married man. He was wedded to his wife named Shahida. From his marriage with Shahida, he had a daughter who was named Sana Talikoti. Sana is married to her husband Irfan Talikoti. His parents were Ladsaab Telgi and Shariefabee Ladsaab Telgi. Karim had two brothers who were named Abdul Rahim Telgi and Abdul Azim Telgi.
