Nermeen Sheikh was born on March 2 to parents Raana Shaikh (father), a former managing director for Pakistan Television and former secretary for the Minister of Culture, and Najmuddin Shaikh (mother), the former Pakistani ambassador to the United States, as well as to West Germany, Canada, and Iran. She has a brother, Nadir Shaikh.
She has a Master’s in Philosophy from Cambridge University in England and has also studied Politics at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Nermeen currently resides in New York City but has lived and worked in various places across the world such as London (England), Tehran (Iran), and Islamabad (Pakistan).
