Reba McEntire’s son Shelby Blackstock is now a married man. He married his longtime love Marissa Branch on Saturday, February 12, at Walt Disney World.
Blackstock is the Hartland CEO and former race car driver, while Branch is a licensed esthetician. The couple – who first met in 2014 – shut down Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, and got hitched during a stunning fairytale wedding.
The location is notably meaningful to them. Shelby Blackstock proposed to Branch a year ago at Disney World’s Epcot during a New Year’s trip, which apparently was also the very same place where he first said, “I love you.”
And Things Gets Even More Magical
The celebration started with a cocktail hour and dinner, and guests enjoyed some stunning fireworks afterward.
The gorgeous bride, who admits to being a self-proclaimed Disney princess on her Instagram page, arrived in a Cinderella-esque carriage. She walked down the aisle to one of the most classic Disney tunes, Beauty and the Beast’s “Tale as Old as Time” – which the bride said is very fitting to their relationship.
But for the couple’s first dance, they’ve chosen something from the country song playlist. Blackstock and Branch danced to Kacey Musgraves’ “Butterflies.”
Of course, the wedding would never be complete without some Reba McEntire songs. Not only did McEntire join the groom for a mother-son dance to her iconic song, “You’re Gonna Be (Always Loved by Me),” but she entertained the guests with a performance of “Fancy.”
The newlyweds have their eyes set on somewhere warm for their wedding trip soon. Well, here’s to a long and happy marriage!
