Tomorrow (June 30th), Tayler Holder will continue to solidify his spot within the country music scene with the release of his brand new single, “Time In This Truck.”

“Time In This Truck” will serve as the highly-anticipated follow up to some of the other must-listen tracks that the former TikTok sensation has released this year, such as “MARRY YOU,” “Another Round” and “Over Being Over” with Hailey Mae Campbell.

Fortunately, “Time In This Truck” is just a small glimpse into tons and tons of new music that the talented singer-songwriter has in the works, and Celeb Secrets got ALL of the tea in Nashville, Tennessee during the 50th Annual CMA Fest

Backstage at Wildhorse Saloon, just moments after his electric performance, Celeb Secrets reporter Melanie Rooten chatted with Tayler Holder about his brand new single, upcoming music, plans for the future and even more.

When asked about what he is currently working on music-wise, Tayler revealed to us, “We got a new song dropping at the end of this month called ‘Time in This Truck.’ It drops June 30th, and then we’re working on a six song EP as well.”

“It’s coming out in the next couple months, like towards the end of summer… We don’t have an exact date for the EP yet, but it’s gonna be cool,” he teased, and we seriously can’t contain our excitement.

With the release of this new music, fans will be able to see the growth Tayler Holder has experienced since diving headfirst into the country music industry just a few years ago.

When asked what he wants to achieve with this new era of music, the emerging country artist explained, “I think that if you know anything about me, I’ve always just kind of been put in a box as like a TikTok kid.”

“I took five months off of releasing music and really honing in with writers and what sound I wanna make and all this stuff, and I think that these songs are honestly gonna really be like, ‘Okay, this kid isn’t just a TikToker, like he’s here to stay. He’s serious about it,’ and I think that hopefully, you know, it’ll give people a different perspective on me,” the 25-year-old continued.

“I’m excited because, you know, I love the music that I have out. It’s really awesome, and I hold it close to me, but this project I got the chance to write with some really awesome writers in Nashville, like some of the greatest,” he gushed. “To see these songs come alive and not only be good songs, but great songs and get some real awesome producers on them and all kinds of stuff, man… Just to see it all come alive is really awesome.”

Since moving from Los Angeles to Nashville, the Alvarado, Texas native has been able to “write with some really awesome writers,” as well as build relationships with some of today’s biggest country stars, ultimately allowing him to grow both personally and professionally.

“Someone I’ve looked up to for so long and got to become really good friends with is like Parker McCollum. I finally got the chance to, you know, meet Luke Combs, and that’s someone that I’ve really looked up to for a long time and, you know, just all these individuals… I got to write a song with Shay Mooney, like from Dan + Shay, like these are all people that I’ve just like dreamed of meeting, let alone sharing the room with them,” he shared with a smile.

Given that he has been working alongside A-list celebrities like Parker McCollum, Luke Combs, Shay Mooney and more, we can already tell that Tayler Holder’s new wave of music is going to be nothing short of phenomenal.

Aside from working on some new tunes, Tayler has plans to hit the road with Dylan Scott and Matt Schuster for the This Town’s Been Too Good To Us Tour this fall, which he said is “gonna be a lot of fun.”

When asked what he is looking forward to the most in regards to the upcoming tour, Tayler dished, “I’m most excited just to actually go on tour. This is my first ever like tour, and then I’m more excited just to be able to share these moments with [Dylan Scott] and then the fans as well [and] let people know that, you know, this TikTok kid can actually rock out.”

“People tend to not like really believe it until you show them. You know, you just gotta put it right in their face and slap them with it a little bit,” he shared with a giggle.

In general, the budding country artist is just “excited to be out there with Dylan” as well, given that “he’s a good friend of [his].”

“Over this last year, I’ve gotten to really, you know, build a great friendship with [Dylan Scott]. We’ve done a lot this year, and for him to ask me to come open up for him is a dream come true. I’ve looked up to him and I’ve listened to his music for so freaking long, so to be able to share this stage with him, it’s gonna be awesome,” he concluded.

Even though Tayler Holder is new to performing onstage, the support that he has received from those who have attended one of his shows has been absolutely overwhelming.

Referencing his bombastic CMA Fest performance at Wildhorse Saloon, the rising country star shared with us, “I just met a couple guys out there that [were] like, ‘Tonight just made me a fan of you. Like, I just followed you on everything because of your show tonight.’ That stuff just means so much to me, you know, so that’s cool.”

“This is only like my third show ever, like fourth show ever, so we’re still getting in the flow of it… I mean I’m always like a little bit nervous when I come out, but then we start rocking out after about the second song or whatever,” making for a one-of-a-kind performance that you need to see for yourself.

While we count down the days until we can catch him on the road with Dylan Scott and Matt Schuster, be sure to check out our full interview with Tayler Holder from 2023 CMA Music Festival below.
