The World Boxing Council has issued a declaration regarding Ryan Garcia’s failed drug tests after his fight with Devin Haney. The boxing-sanctioning body is carrying out its examination of the issue, distinct from the current NYSAC inquiry. In April, ‘King Ryan’ delivered an outstanding show as he secured a clear victory against the current WBC super lightweight champion by a large margin.

Following this, it came to light that Garcia had failed a drug test for Ostarine. It is a prohibited substance and PED and comes under the classification of steroids. Subsequently, Michael Benson recently shared a message from the World Boxing Council. It mentioned that ‘KingRy’ was informed about their discoveries and requested his cooperation in their inquiry.

WBC notified Mr. Garcia of the adverse findings. Provided him with the information about his right to witness the opening of the "B" sample container.

They stated that they would be completely open with Garcia as they keep looking into his good ‘B’ sample after his fight against Haney. Hence, the WBC is currently waiting for details from Garcia but plans to stay engaged, as they have mentioned they will keep looking into the drug Ostarine.

The WBC also indicated that they anticipate getting Garcia’s details by the month’s end. Hence, they will seek to understand the cause of his positive drug test samples. Subsequently, Garcia’s legal team has currently claimed that the samples were contaminated because of his supplements

Ryan Garcia‘s team has maintained his innocence throughout this entire controversy. Initially, they demanded that a B sample be tested to support these claims. However, things took a turn for the worse after it also tested positive for Ostarine.

After this, Garcia’s legal team claimed that the young boxer did not ingest the banned substance knowingly. In addition, they conducted a hair sample test, which stated that he didn’t test positive for the drug. However, now they claim that he does have Ostarine in his system because his supplements were contaminated.

Since his team is constantly changing their stance on the matter, it has become difficult to discern the truth and keep track of the facts. Currently, they have ascertained that the positive drug test was due to contamination in his supplements. However, the said supplement company has challenged this claim.
